KOPERASI KREDIT PEKERJA-PEKERJA MALAYSIA BERHAD. WE ALSO KNOWN AS THE WORKER’S CO-OPERATIVE CREDIT SOCIETY MALAYSIA LIMITED, WAS ORGANIZED AND INAUGURATED ON JULY 23RD 1978 AND REGISTERED AS A CREDIT COOPERATIVE IN SEPTEMBER 2, 1980 UNDER THE COOPERATIVE ACT OF MALAYSIA. WE, AN ORGANIZATION WHICH ENCOURAGES THE MEMBERS TO BECOME THRIFTY, MEMBERS TO PRACTICE SAVINGS AND PROVIDES LOAN FACILITIES TO MEMBERS WHO ARE ELIGIBLE WHENEVER THE NEEDS ARISE BY WAY OF SELF HELP AND MUTUAL HELP

BEGINNING OF KKP

At the time of its inception, six areas formed part of its initial stage. A total of two hundred fifty members comprised the initial membership with a total saving contributions of RM250,000.00. The operation is national in scope. Through the years, as KKP have built its good reputation, now it has 420 areas with 45,001 regular members and 26,000 children members. Each area has its own Area Committee, compose of the Area Chief, Secretary and Treasurer. They are being selected to represent the area through election during the conduct of their Area Annual General Meeting. The Area Committee carries these roles, as they represent the members in the head office:

INAUGURATED

The Koperasi Kredit Pekerja-Pekerja Berhad (KKP), also known as The Worker’s Co-operative Credit Society Limited, was organized and inaugurated on May 14, 1978 and registered as a Credit Cooperative in September 2, 1980 under the Cooperative Act of Malaysia. It is an organization which encourages the members to become thrifty, members to practice  savings and provides loan facilities to members who are eligible  whenever the needs arise by way of self help and mutual help.

VISION

To uplift the largest possible numbers of ordinary men and women of the masses to higher level of socio, economic life by creating economic opportunities and developing social integration through economic cooperation through economic cooperation.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES

  • To consolidate and strengthen the existing human and financial resources generated through our cooperative society.
  • To identify and implement small micro enterprise (SME) economic projects based on collective and participatory implementation process methods.
  • To prepare the ordinary men and women to participate justly in the 2020 program of our nation with social responsibilities.
  • To develop a network to work together with all progressive groups for the practical upliftment in the economic and social life of the masses.
  • To help members children to attain higher level of academic and technical education and training’s.
  • To work towards building a just, human, gender sensitive progressive society.

In pursuit of the vision, we are committed to provide excellent service to our members through our extensive area network which satisfy the needs of our members and gain their confidence and goodwill. We also conduct our collective business with respect and integrity. We ensure growth with quality service. We therefore provide our leaders and employees the necessary information’s and trainings. We also create a working environment that foster teamwork, growth and pride in the organization
